Protesters urge international community to intervene in Balochistan and support Baloch struggle

London : Human rights activists protested against enforced-disappearances in Balochistan at Trafalgar Squar London on Saturday.

The International Committee against Disappearance and International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons organised a protest demonstration at London’s busy Trafalgar Square, as part of their on-going campaign against human rights violations in Balochistan.

The participants held banners, placards and pictures of abducted and extra-judicially killed persons. They also distributed leaflets and explained the situation of Balochistan to by-passers and tourist from many countries of the world. Many people stood by to express their support and encouraged the protesters to continue the good work.

Dr Mostafa Baloch, the Co-ordinator of International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons in London, said Pakistan and Iran were most brutal states. “Both fundamentalist and jihadist states are carrying out the genocide of Baloch nation. It is an irony that world still cannot see the brutalities of Pakistan and Iran against the Baloch people. Baloch have endured enough pain it is time for the world, the champions of human rights, to come to the aid of Baloch and Balochistan,” Said Dr Mostafa Baloch.

The bystanders were shocked to know about the extreme human rights violations and enforced-disappearances of thousands of people in Balochistan.

Talking to the media, Ms Eylen, a representative of ICAD, said that the protest was a part of series of campaigns that ICAD along with IVBMP will continue to hold till next coming one month.

“The Baloch nation is struggling for their independence and therefore the Pakistani and Iranian military are subjecting the Baloch nation to worst possible brutalities,” Said Ms Eylen.

Faiz Baluch, a member of International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, urged the international community to intervene in Balochistan. He said, “We are protesting here today to bring the plight of Baloch nation to world’s attention. Our aim is to expose Pakistan and Iran’s crime against humanity in Balochistan.

“We appeal the government and people of the United Kingdom to stop supporting Pakistan and Iran. Support the Baloch people’s just cause for human rights, democracy and freedom. We appeal the UN and rest of the civilised world to intervene in Balochistan to end the Baloch genocide before it is too late.”
