the tragic news of Sardar Taj Mohammad Gumshadzai assassination

It is sad to hear the tragic news of Sardar Taj Mohammad Gumshadzai assassination. It is a great shock to those who knew the Sardar Taj Mohammad and his family. They are symbols of resistance.

His great- grandfather Khalil Khan fought the British, his father Sardar Khalil Khan second was poisoned to death by a doctor after he negotiated a settlement with the Iranian and returned from exile.  His brother Alam jan resisted the Persian occupation of the western Baluchistan and killed in unequal fight between him and the Persian forces in Gusht in 1980 and he was a young man in his late 20 years old.  And his brother Sharif khan also killed by Iranian security forces on his way from Zahedan to Saravan.
The Gumshadzai family has paid too much to live dignified lives, we salute their courage and they are sources of aspiration for generations to come.

Gumshadzai tribe is one of the strongest Baluch tribe in Baluchistan reside in Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. A Gumshadzai man can travel 70KM a day on foot. They are strong self- confidence characters.

The Iranian sees the Gumshadzai as a threat to their artificial state. Bibi Hur Bibi a woman warrior leader fought and defeated the Qajar in the 19th century in the Battle of Sarha.  The Gumshadzai fought the British and looted their properties in Sandh (now Pakistan) and The British coloniser had killed Gumshadzai. The Gumshadzai fought battles against the Pahlavi rulers of Iran and they also have fought many battles against the Iranian Shiite regime.

The Gumshadzai tribal homeland artificially divided between three states. Injustice against Gumshadzai has shamed humanity, the Iranian have stolen man’s homeland and now they have stolen a father from his children, leader from his community. What a shame! The Iranian should know that the Baluch will survive and Gumshadzai and spirits of Gumshadzi will survive in every Baluch.
