Nuland’s statement is a positive step, UN and NATO should intervene in Balochistan: BNV

Occupied Balochistan: The Baloch National Voice has welcomed the statement of the State Department terming it a positive step saying that “this was a positive indicator.”

The BNV expressed these views in reaction to the States Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland comments over the ongoing enforced disappearances and targeted killings Baloch freedom loving activists by state’s security agencies and their civilian death squads.

The statement of the BNV further said, "But the critical war situation in Balochistan demands that the US, NATO, UN and other democratic countries to practically intervene in Balochistan to end the brutal Pakistani military occupation there.”

The BNV statement, published in the pro-independence Daily Tawar, said not only Pakistan disregarded all International Laws and UN charters by forcefully and illegally occupying the sovereign Baloch state but she continues her hegemony and oligarchy by committing genocide of Baloch people. Pakistani security forces (MI, ISI, and FC) have abducted countless Baloch activists including women and children. “Under their new scheme, of Kill and dump, the Pakistan security agencies have murdered over 370 Baloch prisoners conscience in captivity and thrown their bullet-ridden tortured bodies in deserted areas across Balochistan.”

According to the BNV statement, Pakistan is systematically trying to wipe out the cream of Baloch society by killing its educated and politically conscience members. The victims of state terrorism include Lawyers, doctors, intellectuals, Journalists, students and political leaders. The BNV said it was futile to expect any good from Pakistani army, security agencies, parliamentarians and judicially because they all are crime partner and equally responsible for atrocities against Baloch people.

“International Community should not regard Balochistan issue as an internal issue of Pakistan because Pakistan has illegally occupied Balochistan, the main resolve of the current Baloch struggle is National liberation”, said the BNV. The International community should also know that the support Pakistan receives from west in the name of war against Taliban and Al-Qaeda is being used to crush Baloch Freedom Movement and promote religious extremism.

The BNV said that Baloch are going through a critical phase of history, the time and circumstances demands that International Community should intervene in Balochistan and help the Baloch to regain their sovereignty and freedom.
