Sardars should surrender their national and judicial decision making powers pro-freedom activists: Hyrbyair Marri

London :  Baloch pro-freedom leader Hyrbyair Marri said that Nawab Khair Marri was a national leader and a hero who used his status as the Sardar of Marri tribe for Baloch national cause. Nawab Marri in his entire life had educated his tribe about freedom of Balochistan that is why the Marri tribe along with other Baloch tribes played an important role in national liberation struggle and they still continue to follow the same path.  Hyrbyair Marri said Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri was against traditional Sardari system and in his entire life instead of a tribal Sardar he had struggle as a Baloch national leader. He was arrested and imprisoned because of his struggle for freedom of Balochistan. Due to Baloch national freedom struggle the Baloch nation has gained more awareness and they are bringing the traditional system at par with contemporary needs of national struggle. He said foreign powers introduced systems including the Nawabi system to exploit Balochistan’s resources and to divide Baloch nation in small groups but today because of Baloch freedom struggle the Baloch nation instead of individualism is now progressing toward collectiveness. He said it was the need of time that Baloch should expand their national thoughts instead strengthening an out-dated system imposed on them by their occupiers. “The developed nations of the world have kept the traditional, cultural and social symbols but they do not have political and judicial powers. In contemporary world national decisions should be made by national representatives elected by the people, because elected representatives can be changed democratically and they are answerable to the nation whereas the Sardars and Nawabs come into power because of their family heritage and they do not consider themselves answerable to anyone,” Mr Marri said.  Hyrbyair Marri said after the death of Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri some people are trying to appoint Jangyz as Marri tribe’s chief. “We have messaged him through my brother, Hunza Marri, that we are neither against this tradition nor against him being a Sardar but it is the need of Baloch national struggle that instead of being a traditional and pro-Pakistani Sardar you (Jangyz) should protect Baloch national interest, and for this you have to surrender your political and national decision making powers to those who are struggling to protect the Baloch national interest.” Meanwhile Jangyz being carried away with support and power of occupying state, Pakistan, has already send his people to New Kahan Quetta and threatened those Baloch who are sitting there to receive condolences for Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri to abandon their prayer ceremony.  He said: “We want to make it clear to him [Jangyz Marri] that the condolences and prayers in New Kahan Quetta will continue until 25 of June and after that there will recitation of Holy Quran and Khairat for the peace of Nawab Marri’s soul. The way Baloch nation showed unity and snatched the body of their national leader from Jangyz and Pakistani army, and buried him in New Kahan with full national zeal. We hope that Baloch nation will help those sitting in New Kahan receiving condolence in the same manner.” Mr Marri said, “Nawab Marri taught us never to bow before tyranny and injustice and not to compromise on Baloch national interests. If today Jangyz succeeds in forcing the people in New Kahan to abandon the Fateh (prayer ceremony) for Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, then history will never forgive us that after Nawab Marri’s death we could not protect his revolutionary ideology which is to stand against exploitation and violence.” Hybyair Marri said Jangyz is not only trying to force people to abandon the prayer ceremony but he is trying to eliminate Nawab Marri’s vision of freedom for which thousands of Baloch youth have sacrificed their lives and they are still giving sacrifices.  He said the torch of freedom was lit by Mir Mehrab Khan followed by Nawab Nauroz Khan, Nawab Akbar Bugti, Balach Marri, Dr Khalid Baloch, Ghulam Mohammad Baloch and thousands of other Baloch men, women, youth and elderly people. Similarly thousands of Baloch leaders and activists are still suffering inhuman torture at the secret prisons of state; they are all torch bearers of Balochistan’s independence. He said If Jangyz or his likes and the state of Pakistan want to wipe out the ideology of Khair Bakhsh Marri then they should remember Baloch nation will stand firmly against them.  Hyrbyair Marri said nations around the world have gone through such difficult and testing times, but they took timely and wise decisions in their national interests. Such nations have succeeded from getting out of the darkness and became prosperous, today the Baloch nation is also facing similar situations where they need to make wise decisions and choose between eternal slavery which Jangyz and other pro-Pakistani people have adopted. However, the other option is the path of Baloch freedom seeking activists and national martyrs who want to get rid of the slavery and bring Balochistan at par with other developed and prosperous nations. “Today the Baloch nation has to decide whether they want to protect an out-dated traditional Sardari System and let the Baloch be slaves of occupier like Iran and Pakistan or they want to join the educated and developed nations of world by making a historical decision.” He said, “If Jangyz does not surrender his political and judicial powers to Baloch freedom activists, then for the national interest of Baloch, I as a Baloch freedom seeking activist reserve the right to announce that Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri was the last Sardar of Marri tribe and for the interest of Baloch national struggle no other Sardar will be appointed and the Sardari system in Marri tribe will be abolished.” '' http://balochwarna.com/world/articles.108/Sardars-should-surrender-their-national-and-judicial-decision-making-powers-pro-freedom-activists-Hyrbyair-Marri.html
