QUETTA, Feb 26: A delegation of European Union (EU), led by its Islamabad-based Ambassador Lars Gunnar Wigemark, arrived here on Sunday.
The delegation, during its visit, met with the members of human rights organizations and some nationalist leaders who apprised the delegation about the situation of Balochistan. The EU Ambassador Lars Gunnar attended a function organized by Balochistan Ruler Support Programme (BRSP) where he met acting president of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) Dr. Jahanzaib Jamaldini.
BNP-Mengal leader told reporters that they discussed the issues relating to Balochistan with EU envoy. Besides it, a delegation of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Balochistan chapter led by it Deputy Chairman Tahir Hussain Advocate also called
upon Mr. Lars Gunnar Wigemark.
Sources said during the meeting they discussed pubic reaction regarding US resolution about independence of Balochistan, recovery of bullet-riddle dead bodies of missing Baloch persons, enforced disappearances, target killings and sectarian killing.
