Baloch, Pashtun Parties Boycott DPC’s All Parties’ Conference

QUETTA: All main Baloch and Pashtoon political and nationalist parties have decided not to attend Difa-e-Pakistan Council’s All Parties Conference which is being held on Monday (today) on Balochistan issue, due to which the success of conference has become flimsy, said sources.
According to sources, Balochistan National Party, National Party, Jamoori Watan Party, Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awmai Party, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan People’s Party, Awami National Party, Jamiat Uelma-e-Islam (F) were invited to attend the APC but they would not participate in it “All major Baloch and Pashtoon parties which have
influence in Balochistan’s politics are not attending the APC, therefore the APC will not achieve its set goals,” sources added.
It may be mentioned here that Baloch National Front an alliance of several hardliner nationalist parties and students organizations have already boycotted the APC.
On the other hand, the Difa-e-Pakistan Council’s contact committee is busy in contacting different political and nationalist parties for the past four days to ensure their participation but PPP Balochistan former president Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani, Jamoori Watan Party’s president Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti and PML-N leader General (Rtd) Abdul Qadir Baloch have announced their boycott of APC.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been completed for the APC which would be chaired by Difa-e-Pakistan Council chairman Sami-ul-Haq. All leaders of Difa-e-Pakistan Council, including its chairman Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Jamaat Al-Dawa Amir Hafiz Saeed, former ISI head Hameed Gul, Jamaat Al- Sunnat leader Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Loudyanvi, Ulema Pakistan Council leader Tahir
Ashrafi and President PML (Z) Ejaz-ul-Haq have reached Quetta to attend the APC.
