QUETTA: PML-Q has expressed its grave concern over the increasing incidents of terrorism and target killing in Balochistan and termed tendering of apology on operation and injustices committed to Balochistan in the past as "Unnecessary" and said that to seek apology is not the solution of the Balochistan issue.
These views were expressed by PML-Q president Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain while addressing a press conference along with PML-Q General Secretary Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed here in a local hotel on Sunday.
They total 301 incidents of target killing took place in the year 2009 in which 238 innocent people were killed and 672 other injured. They said that target killing of hairdressers; dry cleaners, doctors, engineers, professors and intellectual who are serving in Balochistan provinces for the past one century is highly condemnable and regrettable and against the spirit of Islam.
They further said that people involved in the incidents of target killing are enemy of Balochistan province. They said that to voice for the rights of the people is a good step but when elements of harassment is included in the struggle movement than it is called terrorism.
They said that it is impossible to stop target killing, therefore, government and all political parties must play their role to end sense of deprivation among the Baloch people. They said that it is the time to find amiable solution of the Balochistan issue.
They said that target killing may be the conspiracy to divide and destabilize Balochistan province. They also announced to set up PML-Q's Special Cell regarding incidents of target killing in Balochistan. The Cell will report Islamabad time by time about the target killing incidents.
They urged upon the practical measures to restore the atmosphere of confidence in the province to find solution of Balochistan issue and all the arrested leaders must be released as soon as possible.
They said that government is not working properly as All Parties Conference on Balochistan has been postponed. Similarly, all the importance matters pertaining to Balochistan have been constantly ignored.
In response to a question, they said that responsible of the death of Nawaz Akbar Bugti must be punished after through investigation. They also endorsed the handing over of coffin of late Nawaz Akbar Bugti to their relatives.
