Ethnic Cleansing In Iranian Baluchistan

As a former Baluch citizen of Iran, now a Baluch citizen of the USA, I thank and congratulate the fellow Iranian organizers for taking the the Iranian tyranny issue to the International Court. I plead, however, that the particular issue of ETHNIC CLEANSING in Iranian Baluchistan should be a part of the Iranian case being presented to the Internal Court.

One of the crimes of all Tehran-Isfahan-based governments ... of the Savids, Qajars, Pahlavis, and of the Khomeinists ... against humanity has been their common policy of ETHNIC CLEANSING in that part of Iran which is known as Baluchistan, the Land of the Baluchs. This cruel, racist, and religiously fanatic policy has been carried out systematically by all the central Iranian governments because the Baluchs with a common language (Baluchi) and a common history and culture , are a mixed race and belong mostly to the Sunni sect of Islam. This racist fanatic policy has been and is being carried out by ALL MEANS:

This inhuman policy of ethnic cleansing has been and is being carried out against native Baluchs by planned and calculated discrimination of all kinds, by intimidation and humiliation, by extrajudicial arrests, torture and murder; by repeated so-called administrative division and redivision of the Baloch Land; by forced dislocations of the native Baluch population ... all aimed at transforming the Baluch into a helpless minority in their own historic and ancestral land, and, ultimately aimed at wiping out the whole race along with its language and culture. Why? Because the Baluchs are NOT "pure Aryans" ... and they are NOT indeed, and they belong mostly to the Sunni sect of Islam.

The Iranian governments have been encouraging and helping actively the Non-Baluchs to migrate from other regions and settle permanently in Iranian Baluchistan. They have also encouraged the Shias and other non-Baluch communities of Afghanistan and the Indo-Pakistan sub-continent to have businesses, and settle in the Baluch regions of Iran while refusing or not managing to issue Shnasnamas (official Iranian Birth cum Nationality Certificates) to thousands of Baluch Children born in Iranian Baluchistan, thus paving the way to treat and harass them as "undocumented aliens" and eventually forcing them to leave Iran.

It is the result of these policies that in the most of the towns, cities, and thicker population areas of Iranian Balochistan, e.g., Zahedan, the administrative capital of the province/ustan ... and also in all institutions of higher education, and almost in all govenment departments in Baluchistan ... the native Baluchs have become or are in the process of becoming a meager and demoralized minority.

It is the result of these racist and religiously fanatic policies that about ten million Iranian Balochs ... more than half of my own relatives among them ... are scattered in foreign lands ... beginning from East Africa to Karachi, now in Pakistan ... anxiously dreaming to return to their homeland that is Iranian Balochistan.

So, I request our fellow Iranians to make the issue of ETHNIC CLEANSING IN IRANIAN BALUCHISTAN a part of their plea before the International Court and other international bodies.

I request the Baloch Diaspora leaders, activists and opinion leaders, particularly those in Europe, and more particularly Dr. Abdol Sattar Doshoki, Dr. Gholam Reza Hosseinborr, the leaders of the Hezb-e Mardom-e Balochistan & Baloch Raj-e Zrombesh as well as other independent Baloch figures in Europe to form a joint committee for this purpose exclusively, i.e., for convincing the fellow Iranians to include the issue of Ethnic Cleansing in Baluchistan in their case being taken to the World Court and elsewhere. Within my limitations, I will be glad to work with such a Joint Baluch Committee in any capacity the brothers and sisters want.This committee, however, should address only the problem of ETHNIC CLEANSING in Iranian Baluchistan ... and nothing else ... while articulating proposals for its solution within Iran's present international boundaries. Let us see what our fellow Iranians response, particularly of the Greens, the Royalists, the Mojahedin and various factions of the Left will be.

Our fellow Iranian Azari, Kurdish, Turkoman, Arab, Bahai, Zoroastrian, Jewish, Christians, and ....brothers and sisters may do the same. We have to acknowledge that the problems and perspectives of all oppressed groups in Iran may not be necessarily identical.

Given the fact that our (Baluch) resources are very limited, we request all international sympathizers and supporters of the victims of ongoing tyranny in Iran to help us in articulating and documenting the case of ETHNIC CLEANSING IN BALUCHISTAN in a professional manner.
