Balochistan: Seven Pakistani troops killed, four Sarmachaars lost their lives in Chapar battle
17 Baloch have reportedly been abducted from Quetta, Turbat, Panjgur and Sui areas of Balochistan.
QUETTA: At least four Baloch Sarmachaars (freedom fighters) and seven Pakistan forces were killed in a gun battle in Chapar region of Barkhan, Balochistan on Wednesday.
According to details the hundreds of Pakistan troops backed by gunship helicopters and armoured vehicles launched an attack on a camp of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Barkhan, the battle continued for several hours causing casualties on both sides.
Azad Baloch, a spokesperson of BLA informed media sources that four Sarmachaars of his organisation were ‘martyred’ while seven Pakistani security personnel were killed and two other injured the battle of Chapar.
Meanwhile the Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) claimed to launched the attack acting on a tip-off and killed five members of BLA including commander Sohbat Khan.
The FC spokesperson also told media persons that at least three people have been arrested and shifted to an undisclosed location.
Separately, the Pakistani forces have arrested 16 other people from Turbat, Panjgur and Sui areas of Balochistan on Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased Baloch fighters in Barkhan and the arrested persons elsewhere in Balochistan could not be ascertained immediately.
In another raid in Quetta’s Saryab Road area the Pakistan forces have abducted Yaseen Bugti son of Ghulam Nabi Bugit on Wednesday evening.
