Tremors have been felt across the Gulf following a large earthquake in southern Iran.
A 6.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 11.52am local time, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
It was 10 kilometres underground near the city of Bushehr, where an Iranian nuclear facility is located.
Tremors have been felt as far away as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, according to social media websites.
The Earthquake Report website said lights swayed on the eighth floor of a building in Dubai, while a building shook in Bahrain.
Some areas of Dubai were evacuated.
