The tortured bodies of two previously missing Baloch activists were found dumped in Karachi on Thursday. A Senior Superintendent of Police said the bodies were found in Mangho Peer area of Northern Karachi. He also said that it appeared that the two men had been strangled to death as there were sign of rope around their neck.
The local police officer further said that the identity of both Baloch activists was ascertained, with help of chits found in their pocket, as Babo Iftekhar Baloch and Maqbool Ahmad Baloch.
The Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons told BBC Urdu that the victims were students of Iqra University in Karachi and were living in the city from past two years.
“The men were originally from Panjgur region of Balochistan. Babo Iftekhar was abducted on 28 January this year from Raees Goth, Karachi. After the recovery of these two dead bodies the number of Baloch activist killed and dumped in Karachi has reached to 7 in past two month,” Said Abdul Qadeer Baloch.
