Mass executions of balochs in Balochestan by the Islamic regime of Iran

The islamic regime of Iran has executed 13 political prisoners of the balochi ethnic minority. The executions took place on Tuesday 14th July 2009 in a prison in the city of Zahedan the capital town of Iran occupied part of Balochestan. As usual they were accused of being members of the PRMI (People's Resistance Movement of Iran) known as Jondallah, a Baluch armed opposition group which campaigning against what they see as Persian and Shia Muslim oppression of their Baluch nation.

The Islamic regime of Iran silence any form of resistance and protests in Balochestan by linking all protesters with Jundollah, God's enemies, the U.S. and west agents, smugglers, etc. Most of the murdered people were students or others who had participated in street protests during and after the presidential election. Some of them have been in prison in months. The political prisoners were to the gallow after short summary trials behind closed doors without having access to defence lawyers or calling to witnesses or to appeal the death centeces.

The baloch ethnic minority in Iran have again paid a high price for their efforts to achieve justice, freedom and democracy. The regime and its local servants "Zabolies" (1) want to punish balochs because they embargoed the undemocratic presidential election and that they protested vigorously days before, during and after the election.

Hundreds of baloch youths have been arrested during the last month. Local sources indicates that the mass killings of Baloch will continue. The young people who are in jail are tortured and forced to recognize crimes which they have not committed. Thier recognitions have been shown on television. The aim of the regime is to scare baloch people to intimidate them from protesting.

We appeal to the Amnesty International, The Red Cross and the Swedish government and other organisations to act and protest against the Iranian regime to prevent further mass executions of balochs in Iran.

(1) Zabolies are a minority group which, like the rulers in Tehran belong to the Shia branch of Islam, unlike baloch who are Sunni Muslims. Zabolies are free to commit crimes against the Baloch population without impunity. When Zabolies are not enough then import the regime other fanatics from Persia. Therefore the majority of balochs are without work and forced to leave the country.
