A Chinese delegation, headed by Ambassador Pang Sen visited Iran's Chabahar port.
The delegation was informed about industrial, manufacturing, tourism and commercial centers in Chabahar, IRNA reported Nov. 18.
Iran is developing Chabahar, 80 km away from Pakistan borders.
In May, India’s Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari and Iran's Minister of Transportation Abbas Ahmad Akhoundi signed an $85 million deal for India to lease two existing berths at the port and use them as multi-purpose cargo terminals.
Managing Director of Chabahar Free Trade Zone Hamed Ali Mobaraki said the Chinese delegation is to study grounds for expansion of business cooperation with the Iranian port city.
Chinese economic delegation also inspected refineries, trade centers, tourism and recreation centers, he said.
The Chinese delegates also inspected some development projects at Shahid Beheshti and Shahid Kalantari ports.
Chabahar port city is located 700 kilometers south of Zahedan in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
