CPEC will distort Baloch economy, say activists Dr. Seigfried. O. Wolf, Mehran Marri 
Geneva (Switzerland), Mar 14 (ANI): South Asia Democratic Forum’s Director of Research Dr. Seigfried. O. Wolf has expressed his concerns about the consequences of ‘China Pakistan Economic Corridor’ in Balochistan. Dr. Wolf said that CPEC will lead to militarisation of Balochistan and local people will not get any benefits from the corridor. He further said that CPEC will result in severe economic distortion as the local companies of the region will have to compete with other foreign companies. Meanwhile, Baloch Representative to UNHRC Mehran Marri also shared the same concerns and stated that the CPEC will lead to the exploitation and elimination of human resources. Further, he said “CPEC is nothing but a military project by China to threaten all the OPEC nations.”
