“The men were heavily armed and attempted to cross the border wall after opening fire on guards. The border guards returned fire killing two of the smugglers and injuring another two” reported Mehr News while quoting armed forces' spokesperson in the area.
The incident has taken place on Monday night; however, the location has not been specifically identified, neither the victims have been named in the report. The spokesperson claimed the seizure of arms and ammunition from the smugglers.
