IG Police Balochistan Mohammad Iqbal and Chief Secretary were on their way to Quetta when there convoy was attacked near the Mountains of Mach, the Fighters used automatic and light weapons and also fired rockets, the vehicle carrying IG Police escaped the blazing rocket attack in a tiny bit frame, The convoy received a hardening message on their way back.
The convoy was also carrying DIG Sibi Pir Quban Shah, DIG Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh & DC Bolan, the news of attack and ambush broke like a wild fire and large number of Police Officials along with Pakistani forces reached the incident place and safely brought the IG Police and Chief Secretary to their stop in Quetta, The incident which shook the IG Police was so near to his death that now Balochistan police rejects any such claim of Baloch freedom fighters.
Meanwhile, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility of the attack on IG Police and Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Mr Merak Baloch who said that he is the spokesman of BLA stated that on 6:00 pm Saturday afternoon BLA attacked the convoy of IG Police and Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Mr Baloch further said that the convoy was attacked with small and heavy artillery.
He also claimed the responsibility of bombing the electric towers in the same place where the IG Police and Chief Secretary were attacked, Further explaining the events Merak Baloch stated “The ambush and attack on IG police is a clear message to those people who likes to follow us then they should also be aware that we are also on their tail, & we wont allow any criminal activities of the occupier in our land, we will fight till the freedom of Balochistan is achieved”.
