Blast damages rail track

Occupied Balocohistan, QUETTA - The rail track linking Quetta with rest of the country was partially damaged in Sariab area of the provincial capital as a result of a blast on Saturday, the railways authorities confirmed.

The blast caused by explosives planted along the track near Musa Colony of Sariab area damaged the track and affected arrival and departure schedule of many trains. However, railways technical staff was able to repair the track.

Two kidnapped in Balochistan

Two people were abducted in separate incidents from different parts of Balochistan on Saturday.

In the first incident, five persons armed with sophisticated weapons held Abdul Karim Lehri, a transporter, at gunpoint in front of Tehsil Nazim Dhadar office and drove him away towards some unknown location.

Similarly, Syed Ali Agha son of Malik Syed Hussain Agha, a trader and resident of Quetta, was on his way to Taftan in a passenger bus when armed men intercepted the bus at Noukcha area of Chaghi district and bundled him into their vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police have registered cases of both the incidents and started investigation.
