Bloodbath continues in Karach, most of the victims of target killing were innocent Baloch

Karachi: Curfew imposition is under consideration in different parts of Karachi whereas Rangers’ helicopters have started patrolling over different areas of the cosmopolitan as a part of surveillance.

On the other hand eight more people have lost their lives in fresh incidents raising the death-toll to 38 during the last 24 hours.

Rangers have arrested several suspects during search operations carried out in the city. An exchange of firing also occurred in Malir between rangers and unknown armed persons whereas furious and angry people set several shops ablaze.

A dead body tied in a gunny bag has been recovered from the limits of Azizabad Police Station, while an 18-year-old Talha and Ayaz Khan (21) have been shot dead in Alfalah and Abul Hassan Isfahani Road. Hameed Sarbazi, 45, was shot dead in the Mominabad police limits after unidentified men kidnapped, tortured, and threw his body in the area. Investigation revealed that the deceased was the President of People's Aman Committee Faqeer Colony Ward.

Residents of Mominabad and Faqeer Colony staged a protest and demanded of the authorities to arrest the killers. Abid Baloch and Saleem Baloch were shot dead by unknown motorcyclists in the Risala police limits. Police said the deceased cousins were targeted in the Orangzeb market in the Risala area. The deceased belonged to Gawadar and had come to the city a few days back. In a separate case, Nawaz Baloch Khaskheli was shot dead in the Nabi Baksh police limits. Police said the incident happened near the Abbasi Cloth Market. Armed men riding a motorcycle came and asked Khaskheli about his caste and then shot him dead.

Ubaiduallah was shot dead in the Landhi police limits. Police said the deceased was kidnapped from outside his house in Sector-37D, Landhi, and shot dead. The deceased was an activist of the MQM-H. During a crackdown the Rangers nabbed a dozens suspects.

Meanwhile, private educational institutes transport and business centers remained shut; however, the government institutes opened besides all exams being held in Karachi University, Federal Urdu University and Dow University have been suspended.

Karachi Transport Alliance president Syed Irshad Hussain Bukhari while talking to Dunya News said that public transport would not run on roads.

Chairman Karachi Traders Action Committee Siddiq Memon said that all business centers and markets would remain closed due to killing of traders and burning of shops.

The bloodshed continued here on Wednesday as nine more persons were killed in various incidents and thus the death toll has risen to 77 within the last four days, while some 40 people have been killed in the last 24 hours.

The authorities started air surveillance of three sensitive areas of the city including Lyari, Malir and Orangi Town for search operation.

According to details, armed men kidnapped a resident of Mola Ram Compound, Malir, namely Arif Sheikh. The residents of the area staged a protest demonstration and demanded release of the boy while miscreants of the rival group resorted to firing and wounded a youngster identified as Muhammad Khursheed, 18. Following the incident, enraged protesters set some 15 shops on fire, while heavy contingents of police and Rangers rushed towards the spot and dispersed the crowd but they were unable to recover Arif Sheikh. The body of Arif was found from Jumma Goth in the evening.

Another incident took place in the jurisdiction of Kalri Police Station where Zaar Khan, resident of Shah Waliullah Road, was gunned down when he was on his way to home from Niazi Chowk.

Similarly, gunmen attacked a flood refugee camp at Gulzar Colony, near Malir Nadi, within the limits of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station. Two men including Mauj Ali and Lal Bux were killed while Allah Wasaya was injured.

Another teenager namely Talha Razzaq, resident of Shamsi Society, Malir, was shot dead by unknown armed men when he was sitting outside his home.

in another incident, Nazeer, 45, son of Hashim was killed in front of his home, in Baldia No. 7, Gulshan-e-Ghazi, within the limits of Mochko Police Station. Another man Siddique Baloch, 35, son of Murad Baloch was killed in Wali Muhammad Goth within the limits of Shah Latif Police Station.

In yet another incident, a body packed in a gunny bag was recovered in the limits of Azizabad Police Station. The deceased was later identified as Iqbal, 25, who had been kidnapped from Hussainabad.
