The United Nations Committee Against Torture (CAT) raised tough questions about military courts, “continued enforced disappearances” and “torture of prisoners in detention”, in its first review of implementation in Pakistan of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, held in Geneva on Tuesday and streamed live.
