Pakistan using strength to stop the preparations of Balochistan’s Independence Day.

Pakistan is using its armed forces and sponsored political parties to forcefully stop the Baloch people to celebrate their national day of Independence. Balochistan’s national flag has been taken off by the armed forces in Balochistan and Karachi (formerly a part of Balochistan). According to the reports received by Sagaar, the national flag was taken off in Mand area, where a dozen vehicles of security forces came on a “mission” to take off the flags, while in Quetta the flags were removed and Pakistani flags were hoisted instead, and Dera Bugti security officials made “check posts” on the spots where Balochistan’s flags were hoisted, they removed the flags and made check posts in order to prevent the flags to hoisted again. Similar incidents took place in Makuran, Khuzdar, Malir(Karachi), Liyari(Karachi), Mashkay, Noshki, Kalat and other areas of Balochistan, where the flags were forcibly removed either by the state sponsored political parties or the security forces themselves.

Flags of Balochistan are being stitched by local people in their homes, the flag has gained widespread popularity in the past years, whereas Pakistan’s flag can only be seen with the security officials and Government buildings in Balochistan with gun protection.

From the end of July the Pakistani security forces started arresting the political workers all over Balochistan on a massive scale, in order to prevent Baloch people to celebrate their independence day on 11th August, however it can also be observed that all over Balochistan security forces are holding Pakistani flags as if they want to remind Baloch people of their enslavement, though this psychological attempt to subjugate Baloch people doesn’t seem to drag much attention of Baloch people, who believe that their country can’t be kept occupied for much longer, the independence movement has won the moral war against the occupiers, and flags of Balochistan in different areas clearly show the popularity of Baloch independence movement as well as the high morale of Baloch people, who believe independence is not too far away.
