News Sangar :
Okara: Two men on a truck hit the member of Voice for Baloch Missing Person at Renala Khurd area between Radha and Okara on Saturday, injuring at least two male participants Shahshan Baloch and Irfan Ali of (Communist Mazdoor Kisan Party – CMKP).It is worth mentioning that VBMP has earlier complained on many occasions that Punjab government was not providing security to the marchers. The intelligence agencies of Pakistan have continuously been threatening the participants of march with dire consequences.
Today attempt to hit the marcher is certainly linked with recent death threats to VBMP marchers by Pakistani agencies and without any doubt it was pre-planned murderous attempt.
Vice chairman of VBMP Qadeer Baloch has recently informed Baloch nation and the international community in a video message about the threats to his life and of VBMP peaceful protesters from Pakistani agencies. He appealed liberal and humanitarian organisations to put pressure on Pakistan to provide security to the marchers.
This is the third time Pakistani agencies tried to hit the marchers.
First time in winder a beige colour Alto car tried to run over Qadeer Baloch, when Mama Qadeer was taking a rest on roadside. The same car reversed to hit him again but he fell on side.
The second time a truck nearly hit the marchers near Sakrand Sindh in December 2013. But on both incidents the marchers remained unhurt.
Today on the third attempt by Pakistani agencies in Punjab on their part seemingly made it sure to hit and kill the marchers but they failed and the participants of march survived.
Meanwhile taking to media Farzana Majeed and Qadeer Baloch vowed to continue the march at all costs. They said they knew that Punjab will not tolerate the peaceful Baloch march on their soil but “even if one member remain alive he/she will continue the march to its planned destination.”
The VBMP urged the UN and international human rights organisations to take notice of Pakistan’s atrocities against Baloch people and put pressure on Pakistan to release abducted Baloch activists unharmed.
