The Baloch Hal NewsQUETTA: A complete strike was observed on Thursday in various parts of Balochistan to mourn the killing of Mir Noor-ud- Din Mengal, a member of Central Executive Committee of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) who was shot dead by armed men on Wednesday in Kalat district.
Responding to a call given by the BNP in protest against the incident, markets and shops remained closed all day in Khuzdar, Kalat, Noshki and Kharan. The traffic plying on the roads was thin as compare to routine while people in such areas remained confined to their homes.
Stringent security measures were adopted to avert any eventuality; however no incident of violence was reported.
